A Mercedes driver crashed into a house wall in Vierkirchen.
The 62-year-old slipped his foot on the accelerator.

A 63-year-old from Munich was driving his
Mercedes Vito
on
Tuesday around 10.30 a.m.
on Guttenbrunnstraße in Vierkirchen in the direction of Ganghofer Straße.
At the junction with Ganghofer Strasse, the man slipped his foot from the
brake pedal
onto the
gas pedal
.
Due to a serious
pre-existing illness
, he could no longer lift his leg and crashed straight into a yard gate, which was
thrown
against a
car
parked on the property
.
The
Mercedes
then broke through
the
wall of
the single
-family
home of a family of
four
and only came
to a stop
in the
kitchen
.
Thank goodness none of the family was home at this point.

injuries
and had
to be brought to the Pfaffenhofen Clinic
by the
ambulance service

A neighbor who
noticed
the
accident
then observed how "a number of neighbors helped the man out of the car," said the woman.
She herself then

house owner
.

.
"We have been assigned a
hotel room
for two days, after which we can stay with friends," said the mother of two.

had to be called in to rescue the
Mercedes
.
The Vierkirchen fire department was the first to be on site.
"We looked after the injured man until the rescue arrived," said Commander Manfred Huber.

.
The Vierkirchen fire brigade was on site with three emergency vehicles and around 15 personnel, the THW with four vehicles.

collapsing is still habitable.
