Juan Carlos Donato (69)

met death at the door of his house, a few meters from the gate of the farm that his family has two kilometers from San Nicolás, province of Buenos Aires.

There he met

Sergio Andrés Tissi (28)

, a neighbor from the same town with a history of attempted sexual abuse of minors and a medical history of psychiatric problems.

When he came across Donato, on Thursday last week, Tissi was going through a "psychotic break" that, although medical expertise remains, would have affected him 72 hours before the crime.

In that state, he

stabbed, mutilated and eviscerated Donato

, who was found by his own wife while the attacker was still in the field and then escaped by running across the field.

Investigation sources confirmed to

Clarín

that Tissi had walked to her sister's house, in Villa Constitución, and then returned in the same way to San Nicolás (25 kilometers one way, 25 kilometers back) and killed without reason. some to Donato.

The sister gave him her SUBE card, but the killer did not use it.

He dropped it at the crime scene and that carelessness was key to locating him hours later.

"He saw it wrong and said that he had told him that he had swallowed a glass," added a spokesman with access to the case on the statement of the defendant's sister.

Donato was murdered in his home.

He was found by his wife, who had gone out for a walk and when she returned she found the dramatic scene.

"He is not completely crazy.

You can have a chat, but at times his problem shows. He had a complaint for attempted abuse, in San Nicolás. Already arrested, he had an incident with another detainee, whom he wanted to grope. The official defense raised that I was not in a position to testify, I opposed it by virtue of the medical report and he refused, "the prosecutor in charge, Julio Tanús, of the UFI 3 of San Nicolás, confirmed to this medium.

An important expertise is scheduled for next Friday, beyond the DNA comparison that is expected between the samples taken from the victim's body and the remains of blood found under the attacker's nails.

This is a comparison of a footprint at the crime scene, 22 centimeters long, to be paired with the killer's footprint.

Tissi is expected to undergo various psychiatric and psychological studies and it is not ruled out that he

may be considered unimpeachable.

Regarding the suspect, the sources said he has a criminal record, including for attempted sexual abuse of minors, since he was denounced for offering candy to children in exchange for their agreeing to go to his house.

Meanwhile, the accused remains housed in the second section of San Nicolás at the disposal of the prosecutor and the judge of Guarantees Ricardo Pratti, both from San Nicolás.

He is charged with "

qualified murder for pleasure and treachery

", which carries a

life sentence.

Donato's crime was committed around 8 p.m. on Thursday in the laundry of a farm located about 100 meters from the Rosario-Buenos Aires highway, at kilometer 233.

"With a sharp knife they killed him and then cut off his nose, tongue and jaw. Part of his face was removed, destroyed, this was post-mortem,

the perpetrator worked with the lifeless body," he

detailed that day the prosecutor.

And he added: "Then he inserted his hand through the larynx and removed the viscera, the stomach, the heart, an unthinkable, terrible, insane thing."

Tissi was detained in the Santa Fe town of Villa Constitución after investigators located his sister through the SUBE card found in the courtyard of the victim's farm.
