"All political, social and regional actors respect the results of the 2020 election," Romero said at a press conference from La Paz, where he asked to make this "a moment of consolidation of democracy."

In addition, he said that the election day was clean and transparent.

So he urged citizens "to wait calmly for the official result."

On the other hand, the TSE concluded this Tuesday night the official count of the vote at 1,443 tables set up abroad.

The results show that the Movement to Socialism (MAS) prevailed with 68.94% of the votes, followed by the Citizen Community (CC) with 16.76%, as reported by the electoral body in a statement where it detailed that at the polls 170,457 of 301,631 qualified voters attended.

Until Wednesday morning and with more than 87% of polling stations scrutinized, the MAS has 54.40% of the votes.

In second place, there is CC with 29.34%.

According to the regulations in force in Bolivia, the winner of the presidential election must obtain more than 50% of the valid votes cast or, failing that, a minimum of 40% of those votes and a difference of at least 10% over the second most voted candidate.
