Jean Castex will not escape it.
According to information from
Le Monde on
Wednesday, the Prime Minister will be heard on Tuesday, November 3 by the National Assembly's commission of inquiry.
It will be the first time that he will come back to the deputies on the deconfinement of last spring.
Emmanuel Macron had entrusted him with this mission at the time before appointing him at the beginning of July in Matignon.
Jean Castex will then of course be questioned on the current management of the health crisis as the epidemic restarts in France.
Health restrictions, and in particular the curfew imposed from 9 p.m. in high alert zones, should be the center of attention.
After Philippe, Castaner and Véran
The hearing of the Prime Minister is on the long list of personalities questioned by this commission of inquiry, set up last June and chaired by the LREM deputy, Julien Borowczyk.
It is LR deputy Eric Ciotti who is responsible for submitting a report in early December.
Wednesday, it was the turn of Édouard Philippe, the predecessor of Jean Castex, to explain himself.
The former prime minister defended the government's decisions during the confinement, and assumed to have maintained the first round of the municipal elections, on March 15.
"It was the right decision,"
said the mayor of Le Havre.
"
In a democracy, going to vote, and maintaining the date of the elections, that is not a bad thing
", he insisted.
Before Jean Castex on November 3, the former Minister of the Interior, Christophe Castaner, will be auditioned this Thursday, October 22 and the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, on October 27.
