The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today (Thursday) approved Giliad's drug remedy Siberia for the treatment of corona virus patients.

The drug is considered the first treatment against the virus that has been fully approved in the United States, and the company is expected to produce about two million doses by the end of the year.

The Gilead company said the drug would be used by Corona patients in need of hospitalization.

Ramadan Siberia was one of the drugs given to US President Donald Trump, who contracted the virus earlier this month and was taken to hospital for observation following a worsening of his condition.
