A senior Israeli official confirmed Israel Today's report on an agreement between the two countries. "

A political source this evening (Thursday) confirmed the report in "Israel Today" according to which Sudan will announce in the coming days the opening of normalization processes with Israel.

In a conversation with Israeli reporters, the political source said that "the direction is the opening of normalization processes, this should happen in the coming days."

He added that there was a connection between Sudan's removal from the list of terrorist organizations by the US administration and Khartoum's decision to recognize Israel.

As you may recall, senior Khartoum officials this evening confirmed Israel Hayom's exclusive report on an agreement to normalize relations reached between the two countries.

A senior Sudanese government official said: "On Wednesday, a senior Israeli-Israeli delegation arrived in Khartoum and 99% of the details of the agreement were normalized."

He said the signing of the agreement is expected in the coming days and the signing ceremony will most likely be through a zoom with the participation of President Trump, the head of the Military Council to Burhan and the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The senior Sudanese official added that the signing ceremony would be held via the Internet and not in Washington due to a tight schedule following the US presidential election.

Another senior Sudanese official told Israel Today that significant progress toward the agreement came after a compromise was reached between the head of the military council, Burhan, who and his men support an agreement to normalize relations with Israel, and Prime Minister Hamdukh, who headed a group of senior figures opposed to the agreement.

In a statement issued by US Secretary of State Pompeo yesterday, he thanked Hamduk for his willingness to compromise and pave the way for a tripartite agreement between Sudan, the United States and Israel.

The Arab newspaper Al Arabi al-Jadid, published in London, also quoted senior Sudanese officials as saying: "An agreement with Israel will be signed in the coming days, peace is closer than ever."

A senior Khartoum official told Israel Today: "The Middle East is changing and Sudan wants to be part of this process.

We have a unique opportunity to rebuild our economy and society.

Are the Palestinians angry?

Every Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon is in a better position than Sudan, so will they be angry with us?

Gone are the days when Sudan was the garbage can of the Palestinian issue.

We are working for the future of Sudan and our children and grandchildren. "
