The Community of Madrid will paralyze, from this Saturday, the night activity of the entire region between 12 PM and 6 AM in order to reduce infections by covid-19.
During that period, social or family gatherings will be prohibited, with the exception of those that involve people who live together, as announced by the local Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, this Friday at a press conference.
This regulation will also apply to hotels, cinemas and theaters, which must close at the latest at midnight.
Stores, except those essential, may be open until 10 PM and may not open before 6 AM

In addition, the regional government announced this Friday that from next Monday citizen mobility will be restricted in 32 basic health areas in 12 municipalities in the region.
This will mean that 671,259 residents of Madrid, 10% of its total population, will see their ability to enter and leave their territorial unit restricted except for justified reasons, to try to stop the contagion of covid-19.
This set of decisions announced by the Government of the Community of Madrid will replace the current state of alarm that the central Government applied in 9 municipalities in the region highly affected by the advance of the pandemic.
That tool will cease to be in force this Saturday at 4:47 pm, local time.
The regional executive intends that the new measures immediately relieve the state of alarm to continue curbing the rise in infections.
