Less than a day had passed since the declaration of the peace agreement between Israel and Sudan, and unprecedented statements came from Khartoum.

A senior Sudanese official told Israel Today that this was a brave move that Sudan wanted no less than Israel.

"Sudan is now open to Israelis," the source said. "We are excited. This is a historic agreement."

At the same time, Foreign Minister Omar Kemar a-Din announced a new era.

"This is a first step on the way to normalizing ties with Israel," a-Din said, but clarified: "It is the interim parliament in Khartoum that will decide whether to approve the transitional government's decision. Sudan is over and done with. "

Sudanese media have reported that limited protests against the agreement have erupted in Khartoum and several other cities in the country.

Some political parties in Sudan have even announced that they will oppose it.

For example, former Sudanese Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi, who heads the country's largest party, attacked: "This announcement is contrary to Sudanese national law and contributes to the elimination of the Middle East peace project and prepares for a new war."

"Recalculate route"

Meanwhile, the new agreement has caused great disappointment in Ramallah, and the Palestinian Authority already fears that more Arab countries, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, will join the trend and sign agreements with Israel if Trump is elected for a second term.

"All Arab states are betraying and stabbing Palestinians in the back. The time has come for us to work for Palestine," a senior figure in Ramallah, close to Abu Mazen, told Israel Today. We are interested in the Arabs. "

The senior official added: "It is time to recalculate the route. The official Palestinian position is no longer relevant. The Arabs are not counting us, and at this rate we will only be left with Iran, Turkey, Hamas and the Ahwan (Muslim Brotherhood, DS)."

Abu Mazen himself said in an official statement that the Palestinians condemned and rejected the normalization with "Israel, which is looting the lands of Palestine."

"Normalization" is a violation of the decisions of the Arab summit, the Arab initiative and the decisions of the Security Council. No one has the right to speak on behalf of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian issue. The path to comprehensive and just peace must be based on international law And in its capital, East Jerusalem, within the borders of 1967. The Palestinian leadership will make the necessary decisions to protect the interests and rights of the people. "

And if in Ramallah they condemned, in Gaza it is easy and material.

"This is a stabbing in the back of the resistance," Hamas said. "This is an infuriating move. The normalization agreements are not appropriate for Sudan. .

Not surprisingly, responses in the Muslim world were divided according to alliances and interests.

The Foreign Ministry in Abu Dhabi said: "This is an important step in increasing security and prosperity in the region."

The Emirates and Bahrain welcomed

The Kingdom of Bahrain has joined.

"Bahrain welcomes another agreement that will contribute to the security and stability of the region, to political cooperation and economic prosperity for the welfare of the peoples," Manama said.

The Egyptian president's office also said: "Abd al-Fatah al-Sisi and the entire Egyptian people appreciate the sincere and relentless efforts to bring stability and peace to the region."

In Iran, on the other hand, the agreement was sharply attacked.

A statement from Tehran's Foreign Ministry said: "This is a fake agreement promised through a ransom."

The ministry's tweet read: "Pay enough ransom, close your eyes to crimes against Palestinians, and then you will be removed from the list of countries that support terrorism. It is clearly a fake list like the American fight against terrorism."
