US President Donald Trump does not want to recognize any particular risk from the virus despite a new record number of new corona infections.

"I had it, here I am," said Trump, referring to his Covid 19 disease, during an election campaign appearance in the US state of North Carolina.

"And now they say I'm immune."

The President had been treated for three days in the Walter Reed Military Hospital north of Washington in early October.

Among other things, he was given an antibody drug that was still experimental, which he called a "cure".

For thousands of compatriots, Covid-19 was not so easy: by Saturday, more than 224,000 Americans had died of the disease.

Voters are now faced with a choice "between a Trump super boom and a Biden lockdown," said the president of the Reuters news agency.

The US is on the way out of the crisis.

"Covid, Covid, Covid, Covid, Covid"

The number of coronavirus infections in the US in one day recently rose to more than 83,000 - the highest value to date.

Trump attributed the development to the fact that more is being tested than before.

"If we tested half as much, the number would be half that."

In general, there is constant talk of the virus in the media.

"If you turn on the television:" Covid, Covid, Covid, Covid, Covid, "complained the President.

In fact, significantly more tests are now being carried out in the USA than during the first wave of the corona pandemic.

Nevertheless, the recent significant increase in the number of cases is an alarm signal - especially since the USA is already the country with the most deaths from corona infections worldwide.

Most recently, more than 900 people died with Sars-CoV-2 in one day.

After the presidential election on November 3, no more will be heard, Trump claimed.

Several thousand supporters came to Trump's appearance.

Many of them did not wear masks and did not keep their distance.

His Democratic challenger Joe Biden had recently attacked Trump for his statements about the corona virus.

"As my grandfather would say, 'This guy doesn't have all the cups in the closet' when he thinks we're over the hill," said Biden.

"It's getting worse and he's still lying to us about the situation."

Biden makes an election campaign event as a drive-in

"It will be a dark winter if we don't change our course now," said the Democrat at an election campaign event in Pennsylvania, according to Reuters.

The fans came to his drive-in appearance in their own cars to avoid or at least limit possible coronavirus infections.

Trump, however, made fun of the concept.

"There were so few cars, I've never seen such an audience," said Trump.

"It was just a tiny, tiny little group. You could hear the cars: hup hup."

Trump had recently announced that he had already cast his vote.

He went to a polling station in a library in West Palm Beach, Florida.

"I voted for a guy named Trump," Trump said in front of television cameras.
