A young man was found shot dead on Saturday morning in the northern neighborhoods of Marseille, near the city of Flamingos and a drug point known to the authorities, marine firefighters told AFP.
The emergency services, called by residents around 9:30 am, could only note the death of the victim, hit in the face and a priori dead for several hours.

The investigation was entrusted to the judicial police who did not specify whether the victim was known to the police and involved or not in the drug trafficking which plagues the city of Flamingos, in the popular and deprived districts of the north of Marseille.
Joined on the spot by AFP, Salim Grabsi, member of the Syndicate of popular districts of Marseille, deplored "
the death of a child
" barely 18 years old, fearing in advance "
a return match

If the hypothesis of a homicide perpetrated against a background of drug trafficking is verified by investigators, this young man would be the tenth death in a settling of scores this year in the Bouches-du-Rhône.
A 19-year-old girl had lost her life ten days ago in Marseille, undoubtedly the collateral victim of a shooting near another drug point, at the Belle de Mai, again in one of these neighborhoods very poor in the city.
