”, affirmed Faure, in his closing speech of the national council of the PS, at the seat of the party in Ivry-sur-Seine.

If we do not share this common desire to defend the Republic and its universal values, then there will be no unity,
" he warned.
According to him, "
you have to be implacable with radical Islamism, but just as much with its causes, treat the symptoms of evil and the roots of evil
".
Denouncing "
the areas of social relegation
" which "
put our common space
" where "
the Republic has deserted
", the socialist number one affirmed that "
the stigmatization of French immigrants, the confusion maintained between Islamism and Islam, the the questioning of any affinity grouping, the suspicion surrounding any attachment to a culture of origin, are powerfully counterproductive
