Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced today that his country intends to establish a military council with the aim of achieving independence for the armament system in light of the investment of national energies and the support and advice of friendly countries.

On the other hand, the Venezuelan president warned against "mercenaries who are preparing in Colombia to launch attacks on Venezuelan military points and borders," calling on his country's army "to confront any aggression."

Venezuela is exposed to US attempts to interfere in its internal affairs and destabilize it by tightening economic and financial sanctions and supporting the right-wing forces in a desperate attempt by Washington to revive its plans to dominate this country that has huge oil wealth and to turn against the legitimate president by using all means, including violence and chaos.
