Residents of the Manot settlement in the Western Galilee were evacuated from their homes early Sunday morning following a fire that broke out at a nearby honey factory.
Residents of the Nahariya police and the fire and rescue system are taking part in the evacuation of the residents.
Firefighters are working to contain the blaze, and two buildings in the settlement caught fire.
No injuries were reported.
"At 03:17 in the morning, a report was received of a forest fire east of Manot," the fire and rescue service said.
"The fire endangered the community and the firefighters began evacuating the residents and protecting the houses. 22 firefighters, 44 firefighters and four firefighting planes are operating in the incident. The incident has not yet been brought under control. The firefighting operations will continue for several more hours.
Police said that due to the thick smoke, several nearby roads were blocked to traffic, and police are directing traffic in the area.
"The headquarters of the Nahariya station is making its way to the scene and will conduct an assessment of the situation with all the rescue services in the unified HFK that was established at the entrance to the settlement," the police said.
