Tunisia could not escape the debate over the cartoons of Muhammad after the assassination of Samuel Paty.
A Muslim country hard hit by Islamist terrorism - especially in 2015 when it experienced three major attacks - the young democracy oscillates between thirst for freedoms and radical conservatism, the political confrontation between the modernists and the Islamists being particularly bitter.
