Seats open in Sardinia from 7 for the municipal elections in 156 centers on the island
.
It will be possible to vote, respecting the distances and with the mask, up to 23. Tomorrow, Monday 26 October, polling stations will be open again from 7 to 15. The ballot will be immediately afterwards.
444,219 Sardinians are called to vote for the election of mayors and the renewal of municipal councils
.
Four municipalities with over 15 thousand inhabitants, where the ballot is scheduled: Quartu Sant'Elena, Porto Torres, Sestu and Nuoro, the only provincial capital present in this electoral round.
In 97% of cases, these are small municipalities of less than 5,000 inhabitants, but there are also important centers such as Tempio Pausania and La Maddalena.

A low turnout is expected, a problem that mainly concerns the 48 municipalities in which a single list was presented: the opponent to beat is the quorum of 50% plus one of those entitled to it.
And between the risk of abstention due to the fear of contagion and the quarantines there is the possibility that some commissioner will emerge from the result of the ballots.
A possibility that is already a reality in four municipalities, three in the Nuorese area - Talana, Belvì and Sorgono - and one in the Oristano area - Seneghe, where no list was presented a month ago.
In Nuoro there are seven candidates for mayor, including the outgoing Andrea Soddu, a center-left lawyer with four lists in support, but 'disengaged' from the center-left coalition that instead ranks the winner of the primary, Carlo Prevosto, expression of the Democratic Party.
Pietro Sanna is the candidate of the center-right, supported by Lega, Psd'Az, Fdl, ProNugoro and Sardegna 2020. The 5-star Movement deploys the doctor Alessandro Murgia, while the writer Ciriaco Offeddu is supported by three civic lists, the lawyer Francesco Guccini from four lists and the former trade unionist of the CGIL Lisetta Bidoni from three.
In Quartu Sant'Elena, six run for the office of mayor.
Three candidates in Sestu, four in Porto Torres, one of the strongholds of the M5s that does not field, however, the outgoing mayor.
