The 17-year-old boy Itai Yitzhak, who was murdered on Saturday morning at the entrance to the village of Mukaybala, was laid to rest tonight (Sunday) in the cemetery in his nearby Gan Ner settlement.

He was stabbed during a brawl between Arab and Jewish teenagers, and was pronounced dead that night at the hospital.

Itai's mother said during the funeral while weeping bitterly: "The charm of a child, you have brought to life a life of beauty and happiness and great light, with an unmistakable smile and your deep look and the folk books you loved so much. I am shocked and I do not want you to be here with me."

She added that "you are not here and it hurts so much for me. It is an indescribable pain, my body has never known such pain. Black."

She said that "even this I, the wizard of words, can not describe this darkness. It is like someone turning off the light. I so want and do not succeed, I want you, want you here with me."

She went on to say, "Please, please let the gate open and you will come in, feel you again. Your hug and your soft little hands."

"I am a mother, and a mother whose heart is not here at birth. I can not bring you back my sweet," the mother continued in the eulogy.

"I try, and pick in your photo albums and rejoice. Once you're at the beach, and once you're a clown, and birthdays, how much you loved birthdays."

She added that "all the pictures have your beautiful eyes and they always spoke to me your eyes".

She said, "Even on the terrible day your eyes told, I know cute, I know you love me, I love you so much."

"You went too early, you are a child who did not have time to do everything you wanted and you deserve to fulfill your dreams. We will do it together with me, I promise you," the mother added.

"Everything I can do with you. We will go on a trip to Poland together, as we agreed, and together we will hang your graduation certificate on the wall when you finish high school. And together we will embrace all your amazing friends who do not leave us."

The mother added that if her son had been there, he would have wanted to play the song "Imagine You" by Shlomo Artzi.

"Like in the song, With Me, Mom's Soul, I beg you to put some sun in the shutters, and be happy where you are not."

She added: "Send us an occasional ray of light, that's all I want from you, to get a sign that you are fine, that it does not hurt you."

The mother ended the eulogy with the words: "We send you great love, and thank you for being with us for 17 years, and fulfilling our lives. Rest in peace, our beloved child."

Itai Yitzhak was allegedly murdered in a brawl in which Jewish and Arab youth aged 17-16 participated.

He was fatally wounded by a sharp object and was taken to Haemek Hospital in Afula by his friends, where he was pronounced dead.

His friends claimed he was injured when he fell on a sharp object during a game.

Police have opened an investigation into the incident and have so far arrested seven suspects involved in the act.
