Regardless of other road users, two drivers fought a wild duel on the A8 on Saturday afternoon.

- The driver of a white X-series BMW and that of a dark Toyota station wagon sedan followed each other across all three lanes between the Eschenried triangle and the Fürstenfeldbruck exit.

While one of the two delinquents could still be caught on the spot, the second escaped through a daring maneuver.
From two riot police vehicles of the Königsbrunn riot police that were driving behind the razors, police officers had observed the duo at their goings-on.
The officers saw from a distance how a dark Toyota was overtaken and cut by a white BMW SUV, so that all following vehicles had to brake hard.
As a result, the Toyota swerved into the left lane and tried to overtake the BMW, which the driver prevented by accelerating strongly.
Over several hundred meters, the two vehicle drivers repeatedly prevented each other from overtaking and changing lanes, regardless of all other road users, by braking and accelerating.
The emergency vehicles finally managed to catch up with the white BMW and control it.
The Toyota driver, however, switched from the left lane across all three lanes to the exit immediately before the Fürstenfeldbruck junction and left the autobahn.
"In disregard of any consideration for other drivers," as the police wrote in their press report.
As the responsible police station, the VPI Fürstenfeldbruck asks witnesses of the process who may have been hindered or endangered themselves to report to the inspection on the telephone number (089) 89 11 80.
Of particular interest are details of the volatile dark gray Toyota that escaped the officers.
