45 new parking spaces are now available in Schröding.
Kirchberg - After the four-month construction work was completed, Kirchberg's mayor Dieter Neumaier, his deputy Martin Strobl road advisor Michael Huber, VG manager Karlheinz Miksch and VG building authority manager Thomas Eibl were able to open the Weidenweg parking lot to the public.
The parking spaces are mainly required for events in the elementary school or the new citizens' hall, but also for church festivals and funerals.
The plant was planned by the EGL office in Landshut, the construction management was carried out by the engineering office Sebastian Fey, and the construction by the Neufraunhofen-based road and civil engineering company Brandl.
Part of the work also included taring the Weidenweg access road.
The Office for Rural Development is funding 73 percent of the total of 348,000 costs.
