Two important elections for world trade will be played out in the coming days.
The first concerns the 164 member states of the World Trade Organization (WTO), which will appoint their new director general.
A director in this case since the final match is played between the South Korean Yoo Myung-hee, and the Nigerian Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
The second election is of course the US presidential election.
Which is played between Donald Trump, fierce opponent of multilateralism who, for four years, wielded the commercial weapon and contributed to the paralysis of the WTO, and Joe Biden, a priori less frontal, who could get closer to his historical allies including Europe.
