For days, people in Italy have been protesting against the government's announced corona measures.
At the weekend there were already riots in Naples.
When the stricter rules came into force across the country on Monday, violent protests also broke out in Turin.
Hundreds of people demonstrated in the northern Italian city against the new restrictions that are intended to reduce the number of corona infections.
Protesters threw windows and set fire to garbage cans.
The police used tear gas.
The new restrictions are tough: bars and restaurants across the country must close by 6 p.m. at the latest. From then on, people will no longer be allowed to eat or drink in public. There is a curfew between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Cultural and social events are prohibited - in public as well as in private space. The regulations should apply for about a month.
Italy recently reported more than 20,000 corona infections per day.
