Right-wing groups, sectors that deny the pandemic and owners of bars and restaurants coincided on Monday night in

agitated protests

in more than

a dozen Italian cities,

with an epicenter in Turin and Milan, in rejection of the latest measures ordered by the Government by Giuseppe Conte to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

As reported on Tuesday by the newspaper Repubblica, 28 people were arrested in Milan after participating in a demonstration in rejection of the decree that orders the closure of bars and restaurants at 6 p.m., and during which

groups of hooded men,

but without a mask, faced off against police and threw

Molotov cocktails

at public buildings.

Ten other people were arrested in Turin in another demonstration against Conte's measures in which protesters

smashed windows and attempted to loot

a luxury handbag business.

Ten agents of the security forces were injured, the newspaper La Stampa reported.

According to the RAI chain, in the two night protests there were far-right groups, such as Forza Nuova among the protesters, and

barrabravas

from the teams in the area.

In southern Naples, meanwhile, hundreds of people marched peacefully from the central Plaza del Plebiscito to the headquarters of the regional government to demand a reversal with the closure of premises at 6 p.m. and request the resignation of the Governor of the Campania region , Vincenzo De Luca.

Bar and restaurant owners warned that the elimination of the dinner shift, which in some cases represents up to

, could lead to the closure of some 20,000 stores.

These would join another 90,000 affected by the first wave of infections in an Italy facing the worst economic recession since World War II.

Meanwhile, in other demonstrations in Cremona, Catania, Treviso and Viareggio, among other cities, the participants also caused incidents in rejection of the measures decreed by Conte until November 24.

The new measures, which include a "strong recommendation" to avoid internal displacement, come amid

a significant rise in coronavirus cases

, which went from an average of 2,500 a day in the first week of October to 17,012 reported on Monday.

So far, 37,479 people have died in Italy since the start of the pandemic, including 141 victims announced Monday.
