In view of empty planes and dusty hotel rooms, Tui daughter Robinson is breaking new ground in the Corona crisis: She is initially offering hotel rooms for home offices in one of her clubs in Portugal.

"Why not escape the cold, wet autumn weather in Germany and combine the pleasant with the useful?"

advertises the provider.

The rooms in a quiet location selected for the new concept called "Workation" are equipped according to the guest's wishes: with a fast and stable internet connection or an ergonomic desk chair.

If required, fully equipped conference rooms as well as additional technology and IT support are available for a fee, as Robinson announced on Tuesday.

The guest does not have to go shopping, cook or fill up the car, but can "focus entirely on his work".

Robinson attracts with lunch from the buffet, sports activities such as golf or tennis and the spa area with sauna and massage, as well as an evening entertainment program.

The offer is aimed primarily at working long-term guests, explained Robinson.

The prices therefore start at 67 euros per person per night in a double room, individual services can be booked for a fee.

"The first bookings have already been made," said Robinson Club managing director

Bernd Mäser to

the newspapers of the Funke media group.

"We are starting in areas with currently very low levels of infection. Depending on which other clubs can be visited, we are expanding the range."

According to the company, Robinson clubs in Fuerteventura, Mallorca or Turkey are considered.

"The economic situation is satisfactory"

Like all companies in the industry, Tui is also badly affected by the Corona crisis.

However, Mäser described the occupancy of the Robinson clubs in regions without a travel warning as good.

"Unlike in previous years, there is no full capacity. But the economic situation is satisfactory."

As soon as a travel warning is issued, bookings will pick up at very short notice.

Mäser drew a positive conclusion for the group's offer, launched at the beginning of October, to go on holiday trips to the Canary Islands, although there was a travel warning from the federal government due to the high number of corona infections.

"Significantly more than half of the holidaymakers came anyway, did not cancel and adheres to the Corona rules."
