Nine motorbikes were towed away for illegal modification on Police Road Tsuen Kam Road

During the long holiday of the Chung Yeung Festival from October 24 to 26, the New Territories North Regional Department of Transportation conducted patrols and enforcement actions in the area, targeting illegal racing, illegally modified vehicles, and speeding. During the operation, police officers detained 14 vehicles and issued 170 speeding tickets in the district. Among them, a total of 9 motorcycles were detained during the operation against illegal racing and illegal modification on the Road Twisk, and the suspected illegally modified vehicles were towed away for inspection. In addition, police officers discovered that 22 vehicles were suspected of violating the "Road Traffic (Vehicle Construction and Maintenance) Regulations" and issued a defective vehicle report to the vehicle owners involved. Police officers also arrested a 49-year-old male driver on Jockey Club Road, Sheung Shui on October 25, for violating traffic lights, driving during the suspension period and driving without third-party insurance. The police stated that they will continue to strengthen law enforcement to crack down on crimes related to illegal racing, illegal modification of vehicles and speeding. Police urge motorists not to try the law.
