Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated the importance of a political solution to the crisis in Syria, including the efforts of the guarantor countries of the Astana process.
According to a statement by the Kremlin's press service office, Putin also stressed during a phone call with the President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the latter’s initiative, on the importance of implementing the existing agreements to achieve stability in Idlib Governorate, noting also the importance of intensifying talks aimed at reaching peace in Libya.
Putin also told Erdogan during the call his deep concern about the escalation of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and the widespread and increasing involvement of terrorists from the Middle East in the conflict in the region.
Armenia affirms that the Turkish regime has intervened in the escalation of the situation in the Karabakh region, in which the conflict erupted, and that it has irrefutable evidence that it has transferred terrorists from Syria to the region.
