The driver who ran over nine-year-old David Ohayon in Ashkelon will be released today (Tuesday) at 16:00 to his home.

Defense counsel said in court that he did not feel the injury to the child and continued on his way, and as a result the claim that he fled the scene is incorrect.

"This is a tragic and serious accident. The driver provided a detailed version that he did not notice the accident, and did not feel there was an accident. Therefore, he did not flee the scene and continued his work," said Advocate Erez Amiga, representing the driver on behalf of the Public Defender's Office. Check back soon "
