President of three judges: The

Senate last night (Tuesday) approved the appointment of Judge Amy Connie Barrett to the Supreme Court, in what is considered an achievement for President Donald Trump who succeeded in one term appointing three judges to the Supreme Court - thus influencing his composition for many years and a rare achievement for any president.

Shortly after the Senate vote, Barrett was sworn in to the Supreme Court at a White House night ceremony by Judge Clarence Thomas.

Barrett's swearing-in, which replaced the late Liberal Judge Ruth Baider Ginsburg, increases the Conservative majority in the Supreme Court to six against three Liberals, with issues such as the ability to have abortions, same-sex marriage, former President Barack Obama's health plan and questions. Regarding the election battles - such as extending the deadlines for receiving voting forms.

The swearing in of Barrett is expected to greatly affect these issues.

Barrett's inauguration in the White House

Barrett herself said she did not intend to serve one side or the other of the political map, emphasizing her independence from the political system in response to criticism of her and claims that she would serve as Trump's envoy to the Supreme Court - especially ahead of the election.

But just as Barrett's way of voting was heavily criticized by Democrats, who argued that a vote on her candidacy was just a week before the election, and after Republicans refused in 2016 to vote for Obama's candidate, Merrick Garland, claiming it was an election year, a vote on her appointment underscored the Senate split. When for the first time in the history of the United States, no Senate member of the minority party voted in favor of Barrett's appointment.

In contrast, all members of the Republican Party in the Senate, with the exception of Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, voted in favor of the appointment.

Camela Harris, the Democratic nominee for vice president, attacked the move, and Senate Republican President Mitch McConnell said: "62 million Americans have already voted. It's obscene, and they have to bear the consequences."
