Unsurprisingly, the US Senate confirmed Conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court on Tuesday evening, October 27, offering President Donald Trump a big victory eight days before the presidential election.
Elected officials from the upper house of Congress voted along almost strictly partisan lines, with 52 votes in favor and 48 against.
Only one elected Republican has defected.
