Zhong Hanlin, the former convener of "Student Dongyuan", was arrested by officers of the National Security Service of the police at 8 am today (27th).
According to the South China Morning Post, Zhong Hanlin wanted to go to the US Consulate in Hong Kong and Macau this morning to seek political asylum, during which time he was escorted away by agents of the National Security Service of the police.
It is reported that Zhong went to the US Consulate on Garden Road in Central at about 8 o'clock this morning, but the US Consulate did not open. Zhong waited at a coffee shop in the nearby St. John's Building and was later arrested.
According to a clip from the South China Morning Post, when the clock was escorted by two agents, accompanied by another agent, the four were walking on the footpath outside the Peak Tram Station and believed to be ready to board the police car parked in the nearby parking lot.

The police said that after further investigation, the National Security Department of the police arrested a 19-year-old local man surnamed Zhong in the Central District this morning (27), suspected of publishing content on online social platforms about inciting others to split the country since August this year. , Violates Article 21 of the "Hong Kong National Security Law".
It is understood that former member He Xinnuo was arrested when he reported to the Tianxin Police Station this morning.
Former student activity member Chen Weixian (21 years old) was also arrested during his report at the Tuen Mun Police Station at about 2 pm.
The three arrested persons are all suspected of inciting others to split the country and are currently being detained for investigation.
The police indicated that the operation is still in progress and it is not ruled out that more people have been arrested.
Sources indicate that Zhong Hanlin was arrested by the National Security Department on his way to the US Consulate in Hong Kong and Macau this morning.

Among them, Zhong Hanlin was arrested again by the National Security Agency near the US Consulate this morning, while He Xinnuo and Chen Weixian were arrested when they reported to the police station.
