A 78-year-old from Tölz fell into a building pit in Bad Tölz on Tuesday evening and seriously injured his head.
Bad Tölz - On the way to the danger spot, the man apparently ignored all warnings and even overcame a number of obstacles, according to the police.
As a result, the pensioner was walking on the Isarleitenweg around 6.40 p.m.
Warnings ignored
At the height of Brünnlfeldstrasse, the man then disregarded - “for inexplicable reasons”, according to the police - a barrier beacon and the traffic sign “No pedestrians”.
Then he stepped over a barrier tape, an excavator arm placed across the footpath to secure it, a pile of stones and another barrier tape.
After this barrier tape, there was a three to four meter deep excavation on the sidewalk, into which the Tölzer then fell.

Use of 15 fire brigade workers
15 workers from the Bad Tölz volunteer fire brigade had to free him from the pit.
An ambulance took him to the Asklepios city clinic.
Since a resident or first aider credibly assured that all barrier tapes and security had been properly attached when she arrived, the police assume that the Benediktbeur construction company that works there is accused of violating due diligence.
