The police today (28th) announced the latest number of arrests and prosecutions. From June 9 last year to October 15 this year, the police arrested 10,144 people in 16 months, which is 105 more than the previous month, of which 2,285 were prosecuted. The ratio is about 22.5%.

The Police Force today announced the latest number of arrests for the anti-amendment legislation on its Facebook page. From June 9 last year to October 15 this year, the police arrested 10,144 people and prosecuted 2,285 people.
The number of arrests was 105 people more than the 10,039 people announced by the police last month. At least 86 of them were arrested on National Day on October 1.
The first three crimes prosecuted were 691 persons for "riots", 403 persons for "illegal assembly" and 329 persons for "possession of offensive weapons".
Among them, 664 have completed judicial procedures, and 557, accounting for 84%, have to bear legal consequences, including being convicted, signing conservative behaviors, and receiving care or protection orders.
On October 28, the police released the latest number of arrests in the anti-amendment law. A total of 10,144 people were arrested.
