Former student convener Zhong Hanlin (19 years old), former members Chen Weixian (21 years old) and He Xinnuo (17 years old) were involved in "inciting others to split the country" and were arrested again the day before (27th).

Zhong Hanlin is still being detained in the Central Police Station.

According to the police, after investigation by the National Security Service, a 19-year-old man arrested was temporarily charged with one crime of "inciting others to split the country" and two "handling of crimes known or believed to represent benefits from indictable crimes." "Property" (commonly known as "money laundering") and a "conspiracy to publish seditious publications", the case will appear in West Kowloon Magistracy this morning (29th).

And "Student Mobilization" stated on Facebook early this morning, "Former student mobilization convener Chung Hanlin will appear in West Kowloon Magistracy at 9:30 am today (October 29) to appear in Court No. 3 of the West Kowloon Magistracy."

Chen Weixian and He Xinnuo were released on bail pending investigation yesterday afternoon, and must report to the police in early December.

The day before yesterday (27th) at 8 o'clock in the morning, the former student convener Zhong Hanlin was arrested by the National Security Department of the police.

According to the South China Morning Post, Zhong Hanlin wanted to go to the US Consulate in Hong Kong and Macau to seek political asylum, during which time he was escorted away by agents of the National Security Service of the police.

In addition, former student activity members He Xinnuo and Chen Weixian were arrested yesterday (27th) during their report at the Tin Sum Police Station and Tuen Mun Police Station.

After the "Hong Kong National Security Act" was passed on June 30, 2020, the student movement originated on the same day when it announced the dissolution of the Hong Kong headquarters, and stated that it would set up overseas branches in Taiwan, the United States, and Australia, and said that it would continue to promote "Hong Kong independence."

In July this year, officers of the National Security Department of the police were arrested on suspicion of organizing, planning, implementing, or participating in the secession of the country under Article 20 of the "Minato National Security Law," and of inciting, aiding, abetting, and financing the secession under Article 21. There are 3 men and 1 woman aged between 16 and 21, including Zhong Hanlin, the convener of the former student movement, former spokesperson He Nuoheng, former members He Xinnuo and Chen Weixian.
