Annual subscribers have until Saturday not to renew their pass next month. The process can be done on the Internet but

Like an air of deja vu.

While Emmanuel Macron is due to unveil new measures this Wednesday evening to cope with the Covid-19 epidemic, many annual Navigo subscribers are considering suspending their package for next month.

In the spring, during the first confinement, this process, which requires physical validation on an automated system or in a counter, had been suspended so as not to create an influx into the stations.

A few weeks later, Ile-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) and its president Valérie Pécresse had agreed to compensation of up to 100 euros for all subscribers, paid from the month of June.

Almost 1.8 million reimbursement requests had been sent to the dedicated portal.

Debited then refunded a few days later

While a new national confinement could be decided, the interruption of the Navigo in November is still possible, underlines IDFM.

But beware: you have to act quickly and complete the process before Saturday, the last deadline.

For holders of an annual Navigo: "It's still possible, but don't be surprised: you will be charged no matter what," says IDFM.

You will be reimbursed a few days later.

In fact, in order not to be debited, you would have had to have suspended your subscription before October 20 ”.

Go to the counter, or on the Internet ...

There are two ways of proceeding.

Either physically, by going to the RATP counters or the Navigo service counters of the SNCF, before the evening of Saturday October 31.

Either by Internet, but with nevertheless a compulsory passage by an automat.

To do this, you have to go to the Iledefrance-mobilites.fr site (access my account) to suspend your subscription before Saturday evening.

“Please note, this Internet procedure still requires a trip to a ticket machine at a station or station, within 48 hours after having triggered the suspension on the Internet,” insists IDFM.

Concretely, for your suspension to be definitively taken into account, “the Navigo pass must be updated on the vending machine before Wednesday November 4 at 11.59pm”.

Once the pass is suspended, you can reactivate it whenever you want.
