minimum wage
in Germany will rise to over ten euros for the first time in the summer of 2022.
With the ordinance passed on Wednesday, the government is implementing the recommendation of the minimum wage commission from the end of June.
The committee consists of three representatives sent by employers, three trade unionists, the chairman and two academics who are not entitled to vote.

With the current resolution, the minimum wage will increase for the first time on January 1, 2021 from the current EUR 9.35 to EUR 9.50.
After that, it increases every six months to EUR 9.60, to EUR 9.82 and finally to EUR 10.45 on July 1, 2022.
