For Monday, November 9th, the traders will be invited to a live broadcast from the Schongauer Ballenhaus.
In this context, a completely new type of exchange that should work without any problems even in times of corona.
Schongau - Economic reception in Schongau - this story has so far been rather inglorious.
The first business reception took place in 2016, the next edition in 2017. The will was there for the others, but for various reasons it was not implemented.
It had to be canceled in 2018 and 2019 because the respective economic development agencies Yvonne Voigt and Meike Petro had left Schongau, albeit for very different reasons.
And so far this year Corona has intervened.
Now there is a very safe concept: a virtual conference from the Ballenhaus.
In cooperation between the city of Schongau and the BDS Schongau, the association of self-employed.
Safe concept that doesn't shake Corona either
The invitations to the traders have already been sent and around 450 letters have been sent.
The city's address list was used for this.
"This is an offer to the economy that networking can take place even in these difficult days," says Mayor Falk Sluyterman.
Lectures by various Schongau entrepreneurs are planned, who will also report from completely different perspectives.
Judith Huppertz (COPY'IN) is new in Schongau, and Andreas Huber (Huber Moden) speaks as a long-standing business owner in Schongau.
Robert Langhammer, who is now moving his paint shop from the city to the industrial park, has set himself up differently.
Speakers with different experiences and locations
"We deliberately chose speakers with very different experiences and locations," explains Harald Dinter, Chairman of the BDS Schongau.
Before that, both the mayor and Dinter, as well as Daniela Puzzovio, will come to the lectern.
The vice mayor is the driving force behind the idea.
It now officially acts as an interface between the town hall and tradespeople and, together with CSU city councilors Hans Rehbehn and Harald Dinter, promoted the idea of giving business and trade more support and despite everything to organize a business reception.
“We're doing something for the economy, even without business promoters,” says Puzzovio.
The filling of this position is planned again and is firmly anchored as a goal in the development concept of the city of Schongau (ISEK).
More details about possible vacancies, as announced, will probably only be provided when the 2021 budget is drawn up.
Overview of economic changes in the city
In terms of content, there is an overview of the economic changes in the city of Schongau in the past three years, it is about which subsidies the traders want and how the economy could develop.
To this end, Dinter and Puzzovio have also initiated a survey, the results of which are to be presented.
But also the guests at home or in the office on the screen can actively shape and discuss the evening.
You cannot join in, but you can formulate contributions and questions via a chat after the presentations.
Puzzovio will then pass this on as a moderator.
80 to 120 participants are expected
“It's a bit of new territory for me,” reveals Dinter, but he completely trusts the technical implementation of a Schongau agency.
The Vice Mayor is familiar with video conferencing, of course, but not on this scale either, "that's a completely different feeling and a first."
The return of registrations is still a bit hesitant, but one reckons with a number of participants between 80 and 120, about a fifth of those invited and about as many as were there at the last analog business reception.
