Emmanuel Macron will go to Nice after the terrorist attack which occurred in the area of Notre-Dame church on Thursday morning.
Three deaths and several victims are already to be deplored.
It was Christian Estrosi, LR mayor of Nice, who announced to the press the arrival of the head of state.
"I thank the President of the Republic who called me and is currently on his way to join us here in Nice to give us his support,"
he said.
The Élysée then confirmed this trip.
Castex at the Beauvau crisis unit
Shortly after the announcement of this new attack, the president went to the crisis unit of the Ministry of the Interior to take stock of the situation with Jean Castex and Gérald Darmanin.
The Prime Minister had also rushed there in the middle of the morning, when he had just finished his speech presenting the reconfinement plan to the National Assembly.

This new attack in Nice reminds local elected officials and the whole of the country of that of July 14, 2016. At the time, a truck had run into the crowd gathered on the Promenade des Anglais, who came to watch the fireworks display.
Some 86 people had been killed, and 458 had been injured.
