Antigenic tests will be set up for departing and arriving passengers, Minister Delegate for Transport, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari announced on Thursday.

Last night, Emmanuel Macron announced the main lines of the new restrictions to fight against the coronavirus epidemic.

Faced with this second wave, the president asked the French to stay at home "

at least until December 1

".

For the second time outside the war period, there will therefore be confinement of the French population.

It will be impossible to move from one region to another, "

with the exception of returns from All Saints

'

holidays

" for which "

a tolerance

" will be accepted.

Antigen tests in all ports and airports in France

This Thursday, October 29 on LCI, the Minister for Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebbari announced the setting up from Friday of rapid tests for the detection of Covid-19 for departing and arriving passengers.

The deployment of antigenic tests in airports "

begins tomorrow with the Nice airport

", said the minister adding that these "

certified

"

tests

will be put in place on the departure and arrival of passengers.

A meeting will take place during the day so that “

all arrivals, particularly in ports and airports, are systematically tested

” in France, by simplifying standards and procedures and by “taking

advantage of municipal and territorial energies

”, he continued.

Antigen tests, which perform less well than current PCR tests, do not require laboratory analysis, and the result can be known in 10 to 30 minutes.

Because between saturation of laboratories, waiting list to be tested and interminable delays to obtain the results, travelers are impatient.

To cross their borders, a growing number of destinations are requiring a negative Covid-19 test dating within 48 to 72 hours.
