The agency itself recommends tightening restrictions on three more areas in the country, including Sweden's largest cities, Stockholm and Gothenburg, following a recent sharp rise in virus infections.
So far, Sweden has not imposed a closure on its residents, but has asked them to maintain social distance and wear masks on their faces voluntarily.
The new recommendations, which have already entered into force in two areas where there has been an increase in infections, include avoiding closed environments such as shops and gyms.
According to Stockholm authorities, in the last week there has been a 60% increase in corona patients in need of medical treatment, after the Swedish capital has seen an 80% increase in the number of people infected with the virus.
