Miesbach

- The press report of the Miesbach police says: On Thursday (October 29th) around 8:20 p.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on the B472 about 400 meters after leaving Miesbach in the direction of Hausham.

A 53-year-old Pallinger (Traunstein district) drove his VW Corrado on the B472 coming from Bad Tölz and initially turned right towards Hausham.

A 40-year-old Fischbachauer was driving his Suzuki behind him.

At the confluence with the B307, the Pallinger stopped to finally turn around and drive towards Miesbach.

At that moment, the Fischbachauer wanted to drive past the VW on the left.

However, he collided head-on with the driver's side of the Pallinger, as a result of which the Pallinger was seriously injured and locked in his car.

The fire brigades from Miesbach, Agatharied and Hausham freed the Pallinger with a total of 65 people from his vehicle before he was taken to the nearby hospital by the rescue service.

Fortunately, the Fischbachauer suffered only minor injuries, he too was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Both vehicles suffered a total write-off of around 15,000 euros.

The main road had to be completely closed for about an hour and a half to record the accident, recover the vehicles and clean the lane.

There were no major traffic disruptions.

A fatal accident had recently occurred just a few hundred meters away.
