The "lockdown light" comes into force on Monday.

We asked what music producer Florian Rein, District Administrator Josef Niedermaier or the district chairwoman of the restaurant association had to say about it.

  • Gastronomy businesses will have to close from November 2nd, as will theaters, museums, cinemas, fitness studios and thermal baths.

  • Even amateur sports have to pause until the end of November.

Schools and kindergartens remain open, the same applies to shops.

  • The reactions in the district are mixed: everything from understanding to disappointment and anger is included.

District Administrator Josef Niedermaier:

“Restrictions mean for all of us to stand together again!

It is now important that those who really fear for their existence are supported.

In general, I am in favor of acting preventively instead of sweeping up broken pieces afterwards.

If we have room to maneuver, we will make the most of it.

District farmer Ursula Fiechtner:

“We farmers are systemically relevant, the politicians know that, we produce food.

But what about the others, the entire middle class, for example?

Surely it cannot be that the beneficiary is ultimately Amazon.

It's a shame about everything that breaks - for example in the catering trade. "

Michael Grasl, spokesman for the mayor:

“The bottom of the valley must now be crossed with combined forces.

It is not pleasant for anyone, neither for the gastronomy nor for the schoolchildren and the elderly.

It is important that operations in the authorities continue and that the projects do not stall.

Think positively, stick together, look ahead. "

Florian Rein, music producer, Bad Tölz:

“I fully support all of the measures - although as a musician and producer I am badly affected professionally.

There is no other way to get a grip on it.

Unfortunately, I fear that not all cultural establishments and cultural workers will survive this time, because the situation will certainly drag on for a longer time. "

Dr.

Herbert Rehmer, Fitness Studio Dr.

Rehmer in Bad Tölz:

“Studies have shown that fitness studios are not a source of infection.

Due to the hygiene measures, there is no reason to lock up.

On the contrary: the training promotes health.

I think that certain offers such as rehabilitation sports or prevention courses make sense from a medical point of view. "

Perry Schack, guitarist from Lenggries:

“My concerts were canceled before the lockdown for November.

Nevertheless, I find it difficult that people are sitting tightly in public transport at the same time.

Aid from the state would definitely be appropriate and necessary.

Despite everything, I think it's important to be and stay positive. "

Monika Poschenrieder, District Chairwoman of the Restaurant Association:

“The whole industry is very disappointed.

In consultation with politicians, we presented very good concepts and invested a lot of money in them.

Now we are being shut down again.

We don't even know when to unlock again.

So far there is no promise that it will continue on December 1st. "

Peter von der Wippel, business owner, Bad Tölz:

“We are allowed to be open.

But I am assuming a significantly lower customer frequency in the shops.

If there are no restaurants open, there are fewer people to shop and stroll around.

Nevertheless, we will not reduce the opening times.

Our range goes well even in times of crisis. "

Ursula Dinter-Adolf, Head of Tourist Info Lenggries:

“This is a difficult situation for hosts, restaurants and retailers, and one that has to be dealt with again.

Hopefully it will be halfway bearable for the hosts because there is no main holiday season.

However, the autumn break is next week.

We hope that vacation will be possible again during the winter holidays. "

Sabine Pfister, “KKK”, Lenggries:

“We had to cancel everything for November, that was a total of four events.

Nevertheless, we are 100 percent behind the measures and want to help ensure that the situation in Germany remains under control.

We will survive this lockdown too. "

Christoph Seitz, Director of the Brauneck Hotel:

“The recent lockdown is a heavy blow, but it is a necessary step.

We are all very frustrated about this, but look to the future with optimism and hope that the tough restrictions will have an effect and that we can look forward to a positive Advent and Christmas season. "

Elisabeth Hinterstocker, director of the Tölzer Stadtmuseum:

“We will also close again.

Due to the increasing number of infections, I find the measures well thought out and sensible - despite the restriction.

However, it is a privilege for us to be able to work in the public sector.

That hits others, like many restaurateurs, a lot harder. "

Martina Riesch, “Schützenhaus Jachenau”:

“For me, the lockdown in gastronomy is incomprehensible.

Why are you allowed to go shopping in town but not meet friends or family in the inn?

We belong to the industries with the best hygiene concepts and are strictly monitored.

The measures are no longer related. "

Hans Kremko, landlord from the Kramerwirt:

“We'll close on Monday.

This is very annoying for us because we would have been up in November compared to many others.

For me it simply shows the importance of gastronomy in society.

Everyone wants to have a relaxed café drink, nobody worries about the people behind them. "

Ingo Mehner, Mayor of Bad Tölz:

“The measures will have different effects on people.

Many are hard hit economically, but one must not forget the social consequences.

As a city, we have to find solutions as to how we can create a social life under the Corona conditions in the long term. "

Christian Haas, Sports Officer TV Bad Tölz:

“We too have to take a break for the whole of November.

It's a shame because we've been ramping up everything for a few weeks now and it worked really well.

We will now try again to stay present for all members through online offers and collect ideas for training at home. "

Thomas Gampl, Hohenburg High School:

“As of now, nothing will change significantly for us as a result of the lockdown.

The schools were the first to close in the spring.

Personally, I think it's right that they now have priority and should remain open.

As far as I can see, the risk of infection in the classroom is relatively low. "

Regina Demleitner, “Vitarea”, Bad Heilbrunn:

“In general, further closure of the fitness and health facilities is a situation that threatens the existence of the company.

I find it very regrettable that politicians do not recognize our health-promoting work as such.

We can only hope that all fitness studios can build on the solidarity of their members. "
