Venezuelan opposition leader Leopoldo López spoke with Fernando del Rincón in CNN's «Conclusions».
The leader, who over the weekend left the residence of the Spanish ambassador in Caracas and traveled to Madrid, reviews how it was conceived and why the plan to overthrow the questioned president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, failed on April 30, 2019. López blames the president of the Supreme Court of Justice, Maikel Moreno, who at the time denied the accusations and described that initiative as "a coup" to "seize political power by force."
López tells why he decided to leave Venezuela after so many years avoiding that exit.
López assures that the dictatorship diminished his ability to operate so much that he feels he can do more while abroad.
