The Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform is implementing a package of projects related to the rehabilitation and restoration of its agricultural and livestock production facilities in the countryside of Aleppo that have been damaged by terrorism, including the seed sifting center and the fodder plant in Tal Balat, east Aleppo, the housing complex and the Zarba poultry facility.
In the seed sifting center in Tal Blat affiliated with the General Organization for Seed Multiplication, Delshi Ibrahim, the head of the center, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that after receiving the wheat from the establishment’s centers, the sifting process is done for the hard and soft wheat, and then sorting according to the size and specific gravity of the seed and then it is sent to the final storage cells to be After that, the grains are stored and packed into bags and prepared for shipment, pointing out that the production capacity of the center is 100 tons of sifted seeds per day.
Engineer Adnan Omran, Director of the Seed Multiplication Foundation Branch in Aleppo, stated that the Tell Balat Center was established and equipped mechanically after its destruction by terrorism and its sabotage to the old center at an estimated cost of 1.400 billion Syrian Pounds, and it is composed of one production line through which the sifted and sterilized seeds are secured for the Aleppo Governorate and the neighboring governorates in addition to The existence of a mobile screening center in the Jibreen area, east of Aleppo.
In Tal Balat Feed Factory, Eng. Mahmoud Al Habib, Director of the plant, explained that the production capacity of the plant per hour is 30 tons of feed, at a rate of 210 tons within a single shift, and in its first stage, the process of receiving raw materials that can be crushed and mixed using a mixer according to an automated program and then transferred to cells and using the capsule machines For feed and the production of the feed capsule, its cooling and purification from the soft materials, the fillable materials are transferred to the transfer cells and packed into bags.
In the Mubakir Maskanah complex, Eng. Abdul Karim Ahmed, the director of the complex, said that contracts were concluded with the Military Housing Corporation 3 branch, valued at 919 million Syrian pounds, to rehabilitate the fourth and third stations and the growing and fattening herd into an integral cycle for the herd.
Ahmed added that the complex consists of five milking cattle stations, three sleeping herds and a fattening station, and each station of milking cows has a capacity of about 640 imported herd heads. The area of the complex is 100 hectares and the area of the agricultural land belonging to it is 1500 hectares to provide food security for the herd, and the complex currently suffers from the lack of a resource. Water, due to the lack of electricity for the pumps, in addition to the economic blockade imposed on Syria, which limits the import of cows.
In the liberated Zerba poultry facility, south of Aleppo, Dr. Yassin Diab, the director of the facility, stated that the hangar had been restored to raise broilers after the damage to the facility as a result of terrorism, which includes 37 hangars, and that it was equipped with food, drinks and heating devices, and the chicken became 43 days old and ready for marketing within the next two days. Construction works according to the contract signed with the General Company for Construction and Reconstruction to restore seven hangars dedicated to raising laying hens and broilers, with a value of 751 million Syrian pounds. Preparations are underway to raise a new batch of chicks, numbering six thousand chicks.
