A senior Jordanian army officer was evacuated this evening (Wednesday) by helicopter for urgent treatment at Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem after apparently falling ill in Corona.
This is what Israel Today learned from a conversation with Jordanian officials.
"Israel Today" has learned from talks with Jordanian officials who are involved in the details that this is indeed a senior officer in the Jordanian army.
The officer was transferred today to urgent care at Hadassah Ein Kerem following a deterioration in his condition after he collapsed and there was a real fear for his life.
The sources did not say who he was and how senior he was, although there are estimates that he is one of the General Staff officers in the Jordanian army.
In addition, they did not disclose the medical incident for which he was transferred to Hadassah.
According to estimates, the officer's medical condition worsened after contracting the corona virus. It was also reported that his transfer to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital was made in full coordination with all relevant parties in Israel. Upon landing the helicopter at the hospital, medical teams were waiting for the senior officer who immediately began medical treatment and stabilized. Although it should be noted that although his condition is now defined as stable, his life is still in danger.
