Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez condemned US President Donald Trump's announcement of his victory in the elections before the vote counting was completed, describing his declaration as "authoritarian and illegal."
Russia today quoted the New York State MP in a tweet today that "Trump's premature claims to victory are illegal, dangerous and tyrannical."
She called on Cortez to wait before any party declares its victory and to wait for the completion of the vote count and respect the results.
The US President had claimed in a press conference from the White House that he had won at the expense of his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, in the current US presidential elections, claiming that he had won even in some states in which he did not expect progress.
