Tropical Storm Eta will persist in Central America for the next few days, causing sudden and life-threatening floods as well as landslides, according to the US National Hurricane Center.
The tropical cyclone is expected to resurface late in the week over the Caribbean Sea and possibly move over Cuba on Sunday, meaning it could threaten Florida as well.
