President Bashar Al-Assad and Mrs. Asma Al-Assad visited today the exhibition "Producers 2020" in Tekia Sulaymaniyah in Damascus, in which producers from Aleppo Governorate have been damaged during the war and have returned to work and produce with determination and will of Syrians who are facing the siege and unfair sanctions against their homeland.
During a tour of the exhibition pavilions, President Al-Assad and Mrs. Asma listened to the participants and producers about their participation in the exhibition and its importance as a platform for internal and external marketing and promotion of the products of the rehabilitated factories and workshops and re-production through the support provided to small and medium enterprises to be an important tributary of the national economy, breaking the blockade and limiting price hikes.
President al-Assad spoke to the participants in the exhibition, saying: My first thanks to you, because if you did not hold out in Aleppo and decided from the beginning to be positive and effective, and you have a challenge without which a person cannot succeed, especially in these circumstances, without this thing we would not have reached this successful beginning .
President Al-Assad added: When we meet with producers in these special harsh and difficult circumstances that Syria has not lived through since the days of independence, this is a very special message full of meanings. Aleppo has been besieged from all sides for about 3 to 4 years.
Because the bombing did not stop and its production did not stop, then the issue is not the blockade, and if the blockade on Aleppo could not affect it, then the blockade on Syria, which could not be more severe than the siege of Aleppo, will not be the reason behind the problem we are going through. Burning it in the northeastern regions will undoubtedly have an effect.
President al-Assad continued: But the economic problem has another reason that no one speaks about, and that is the money that the Syrians took and deposited in Lebanon, and when the banks in Lebanon were closed, we paid the price. This is the essence of the problem that no one speaks about, of course it is easy to always blame the state and the government, mistakes Everyone has this another issue, but the current crisis is not related to the blockade, the blockade has been going on for years, and this does not mean that the blockade is a good thing and the Americans are innocent, the blockade directly harms all aspects of life, but the current crisis that began about several months ago is caused by this issue, because The crisis began before the Caesar Act
And it began years after the siege, so what coincided with it?
What coincided with it was the money that went, and the minimum they say was around 20 billion dollars, and the upper limit, some say 42 billion dollars, and we do not know what the real number is, and this figure for an economy like Syria’s is a frightening number.
President al-Assad said that Aleppo is the heart of the industry and it is the base of production in Syria, and if we went back to before the war, we would have said that we should focus more on production, and now you have presented a true example that the idea of production even if it started small, and when we say small projects this does not mean that we are We want her to stay young, we want her to grow old.
President al-Assad added: We saw you in the beginnings of your projects, where you started after the last liberation of Aleppo in February, when most of the projects began, and in a few months we saw wonderful production by measuring time and financial capabilities and by measuring the economic conditions of Syria or Aleppo, that is, when there is a will and patriotism, we succeed, and this means that There is hope but hope is in action because work and hope are linked together.
President al-Assad concluded his speech: Instead of wasting time talking and crying that does not help, because a person who is only proficient in crying cannot produce while he is a helpless person and cannot provide anything to society or the country, and therefore you have turned towards production with little support and with much will and hope It is known about the people of Aleppo that you were able in a short period of time to access products, so instead of going to tears and frustration, you took your tools and sheltered in the rocks represented by the harsh conditions that each one of you is going through.
The participants in the exhibition affirmed that the visit of President Al-Assad and Mrs. Asmaa is a great message of support for the production process that the national economy needs in light of the siege and unfair sanctions on the Syrian people.
The exhibition, which is open daily, continues from 4 pm until 9 pm until the sixth of this month and is organized by the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences.
