Left star Sahra Wagenknecht

Sahra Wagenknecht doesn't have to do much to stir up parts of her own party.
An interview is enough, like the one with the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" at the end of October, as long as a few stimulating words come up: "Language sensitivities, gender asterisks and lifestyle issues", that's why left-wing debates are too much, she said, too much about the " urban academic middle class ".
It was the latest, skilful provocation with the old accusation that the left had forgotten, lost, and given up its own electorate.
Put simply, they care too much about big city hipsters and too little about workers and unemployed people in the area - that is the idea.
The discussion about electoral milieus is often fierce on the left.
Not only from ex-parliamentary leader Wagenknecht, but also from her.
Some love them for it, others curse them.
"You go for a populist course, fail. Found a populist alternative movement, fail. Guilt is not the wrong course, but your own stupid detached party," scoffed the Berlin vice-chairman Tobias Schulze on Twitter about Wagenknecht and their interview.
Wagenknecht himself says: "I didn't find that polemical. I want our party to remain a relevant political factor."
