A high school student indicted for "death threat" to a teacher

The 15-year-old second-grader said "I'm going to cut off his head" in front of a teacher on Monday. He admitted the facts in police custody.


A 15-year-old high school student was indicted Wednesday for "

death threat

" after threatening a teacher to "

cut his head

" in his high school in Caluire-et-Cuire, near Lyon, the prosecution said Thursday, November 5 .

Monday around 5:30 pm, this second-grader at the professional high school André Cuzin had been placed in

police

custody after having launched in front of a teacher: "

I'm going to cut off his head

", according to a police source.

Facing the principal, he had tried to minimize his remarks by assuring that he had simply said: "

He wants to have his head cut off

".

But the high school student then admitted the facts in police custody before being brought before the children's judge, added the same source.

Indicted for "

threat of death against a person entrusted with a public service mission

", the young boy was placed under "

supervised liberty

", a criminal measure for educational and preventive purposes, specified the parquet.

In addition, Monday, the day of the homage to Samuel Paty, teacher beheaded on October 16 in Conflans-Saint-Honorine (Yvelines), a young man of 19 years, was arrested for having posted Saturday on the Instagram account of the school Hélène Boucher de Vénissieux, in the Lyon suburbs, an insulting message calling for not respecting the minute of silence.

Acknowledging the facts and explaining having acted "

without thinking

", according to the police source, the Vénissian was referred by the prosecution and was the subject of a criminal composition, provision to avoid a trial.
