Beirut-Sana

Hezbollah condemned the blatant American interference in Lebanese internal affairs.

In a statement today, the party denounced the decision taken by the US Treasury Department against the leader of the Free Patriotic Movement, Representative Gebran Bassil, describing the decision as “pure political and blatant interference in the internal affairs of Lebanon,” adding that “the United States of America is the sponsor of terrorism and extremism in the world and sponsors corruption, corrupt and dictatorial countries And believes in its protection and support by all means, and therefore is the last person entitled to talk about fighting corruption.

The statement emphasized that “America uses its domestic laws, including anti-terrorism and anti-corruption laws, to extend its hegemony and influence over the world, and it is using them against every country, party, current, or free and honorable person who does not submit to its policies, does not implement its instructions, and does not agree with its plans that aim to sow discord and division and create Internal and regional conflicts ”.

The statement saw that “this decision specifically aims to subject a large Lebanese political team to the American conditions and dictates on Lebanon,” stressing its rejection of unjust decisions and slanders.

Basil had confirmed in his tweet on Twitter in response to the inclusion of his name in the US Treasury Department sanctions list that he was “accustomed to injustice” and that these sanctions “did not scare him.”
