The activities of the Products Exhibition 2020, which was held in Tekkiye Sulaymaniyah in Damascus for five days, concluded this evening with the participation of about 138 products across 77 small projects in the textile industries, traditional handicrafts, leather, food and furniture, which was organized by the Arab Group for Exhibitions.

The exhibition days witnessed dozens of meetings, understandings, agreements and deals between young producers coming from Aleppo, merchants, businessmen and customers who visited the exhibition by establishing production and marketing partnerships, distributing their products in Damascus and the governorates, and exporting some of them abroad, in addition to introducing and promoting products in order to break the siege and reduce the severity of price hikes.

The exhibition coordinator Joseph Arts said in a statement to SANA that the aim of the exhibition is to support small enterprises and market the products of the participants, pointing out that the young producers participating in the exhibition were able to provide goods with high quality and competitive prices that met the approval of merchants and encourage them, which made them enter into understandings and agreements with the participants.

For his part, Zakaria Azizi, who works in the furniture industry, indicated that many visitors expressed their admiration for what he presented and that he was able to conclude some understandings during the exhibition, indicating that the furniture industry was inherited from his ancestors, but the circumstances that Aleppo governorate went through stopped his work and turned him to work in other professions until he submitted Support him and was able to buy machines and start again with the profession he loves and mastered.

For her part, Sunli Ghazal, who started her project with her partners in the manufacture of marshmallow with unique flavors such as pistachio and dried rose flavor in a small shop in Aleppo, explained that her products met with great demand and approval from customers during the exhibition. With their product to the merchants who ordered large quantities and expressed their willingness to provide the necessary materials in addition to shipping the product, pointing out that it sold all the goods that it brought to Damascus.

Muhammad Saeed pointed out that he and his partners, who were graduates of the Faculties of Fine Arts, started their project from a simple website, where they used their talent to print on all materials and materials such as wood, glass and cloth and sell them, but they did not have the necessary machines until they received support and bought their own machines that enabled them to rely on Themselves fully, stressing that their participation in the exhibition enabled them to conclude several deals with shop owners in Al-Qasaa and Al-Qaymariya regions, and to conclude understandings with merchants to supply their goods in addition to buying raw materials from them.

As for Rafik Hazeem, who works in the field of ready-to-wear, he pointed out that the exhibition and the heavy media coverage facilitated communication with industrialists, merchants and people who got acquainted with our goods, indicating that they have been working in the jeans industry for a long time, but they stopped due to the crisis until they were able to take off again despite the difficulties. They suffered and lost the machines until the support came and the exhibition helped them greatly in promoting and marketing the products.
