The National Union of Syrian Students honored 97 students from the distinguished distinguished students in public universities with various specializations today, at the end of the “Your Ambition Excellence” forum for university academic excellence organized by the Union over a period of three days.

Suleiman pointed out that this integrated work that the Students' Union seeks to institutionalize and frame both administratively and legally cannot grow and grow except with the cooperation and solidarity of our educational institutions by paying attention to this distinguished segment and singling out wide areas of interest, follow-up, support and care for their academic achievement and their future aspiration after graduation in society, economy and education.

In the speech of Outstanding Students, student Rawan Gharib Youssef from the Persian Language Department at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Al-Baath University emphasized the importance of the themes addressed by the forum in its three days and its role in exchanging experiences between the outstanding students in all governorates in order to come up with proposals that contribute to achieving students' future aspirations.

The student Youssef talked about her experience and how she challenged the difficult circumstances after being injured and losing her eyesight as a result of a terrorist bombing in Homs governorate upon her return from the university to her home in 2013 and the difficulties she faced when pursuing her academic achievement as the study mechanism differed, which became dependent on hearing more than vision, as she was studying before She was exposed to the terrorist accident at the College of Human Medicine, and as a result of the injury, she stopped for two years, and then she continued her studies in the Persian Language Department of the College of Arts.

The honoring ceremony included the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the outstanding students and the award of the Medal of Excellence to them, in addition to musical pieces led by Maestro Mahdi Al-Mahdi and singing performances by the singer Sarah Darwish.

In a statement to the media following the honoring ceremony, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed the importance of the forum in terms of shedding light on the distinguished students who received the Al-Bassel Prize for Academic Excellence throughout their university years, "first place" and making them positive examples in society and identifying the factors of their excellence in order to be Set an example for their colleagues later.

In interviews with SANA, a number of outstanding students expressed their great happiness in being honored, thanked and appreciated by the National Union of Syrian Students and all those in charge of the forum, where Juliet Ali Suleiman from the Arabic Language Department at Tartous University said that the forum provided an incentive and motivation for her to exert more effort and diligence and provide the best for building the homeland. Student Mustafa Armanazi from the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering “Industrial Engineering Specialization” at the University of Aleppo pointed out that the forum provided an opportunity for the superior segment of students to dialogue and meet with decision-makers and develop future plans related to higher education in addition to being a step to motivate and encourage students to excel and excel so that they have a role. Student Salam Daibes from the Third Faculty of Economics, Damascus University Branch in Quneitra, specializing in Business Administration, considered that the forum formed an honor, a culmination and a valuable summary of the end of her university stage, which will positively affect future generations.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Dr. Khaled Al-Halbouni, secretary of the Damascus University branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, presidents of Damascus, Al-Baath, Aleppo and Tishreen universities, assistants of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, members of the executive office of the National Union of Syrian Students, a large crowd of stakeholders, faculty members in universities and students' families.

The forum was launched last Thursday with the aim of identifying the factors of excellence among the participants, the challenges they faced and the methods of overcoming them, and benefiting from their research ideas and initiatives in developing the educational process, as they discussed over several sessions topics that included excellence, creativity and the reciprocal relationship between creativity and scientific research and logistical and technical support related to educational technologies Laboratories, education and training supplies, in addition to school curricula, the modularity of traditional education, teaching methods, training and qualification, and university life in terms of skills, experiences and knowledge, and the role of intermediary institutions in fostering excellence and economic empowerment for the outstanding and securing suitable job opportunities for them.
